Anchor and Hearth Woodfired Kitchen – Hyatt Regency Baytown Houston

Our recent dining experience at Anchor and Hearth Woodfired Kitchen in the Hyatt Regency Baytown was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and thoughtful, with Manager Alejandro ensuring every detail of our evening was well taken care of.

We began with Gulf Coast Oysters, Gulf Coast Shrimp, and Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends. Each showcased fresh ingredients and the distinctive character of the woodfired kitchen. The oysters were bright and briny, the shrimp in tomato-based sauce was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the brisket burnt ends were deeply flavorful, with a smoky richness and tender texture that set the tone for the meal.

For our entrées, we ordered the Grass Fed New York Strip, though as it was unavailable that evening, the kitchen graciously substituted a Filet Mignon. The filet was well-prepared and satisfying, but the Texan Redfish ultimately stole the show. Its perfectly crisped edges contrasted beautifully with the tender, delicate flesh, and when paired with quinoa risotto, sweet peppers, and tomatoes, the dish achieved a flawless balance of textures and flavors. It was the clear highlight of the meal and a signature plate worth returning for.

To conclude, we enjoyed three desserts: Tres Leches Cake, Emotional Support Brownie, and Matcha Cheesecake. Each brought its own distinctive character in both flavor and presentation. The Tres Leches Cake was rich yet delicately light, complemented by fresh fruit and cream. The Brownie delivered pure indulgence, elevated by ice cream and a drizzle of caramel. The Matcha Cheesecake offered a refined twist, with earthy green tea notes balanced by the smooth creaminess of the cheesecake and the crunch of a nutty crumble base. Each was exceptional in its own way, and truly, there was no wrong choice.

The combination of refined service, elevated flavors, and a warm, modern setting makes Anchor and Hearth Woodfired Kitchen a dining experience to remember. Special recognition goes to Alejandro, whose professionalism and hospitality made the evening even more memorable.

Recommendation: Do not miss the Texan Redfish—an outstanding dish that perfectly captures the balance of craft and flavor this restaurant offers.
